Tea Dance for Dancing for Health raises £600

Over 40 people enjoyed an afternoon of dancing with tea and cakes provided by the church in a fundraiser for Dancing for Health. The afternoon was led by Tracey Barnes, CEO of Dancing for Health CIC who leads the weekly Dancing for Health class at St Andrew’s at 1.00pm on Wednesday afternoons. The class particularly focuses on offering dance for people with Parkinson’s disease. It has been proved that dance is very beneficial in helping people diagnosed with Parkinson’s to regain and sustain movement and balance.

As well as being very enjoyable, the event raised over £600 which will enable the class to keep going for several more months. Donations are always welcome for this vital service. For more information contact dancingforhealth.co.uk
