The Beehive Baby and Toddler group got off to a flying start with a launch party in St Andrew’s Church Hall on Saturday 30th July. A bouncy castle, wheelie toys, a baby mat and toys and a play table for toddlers filled the hall and an ice cream van parked outside, all to the delight of some 15 under 3’s – and their parents and carers. There was also a raffle and tombola for the adults to raise funds. Snacks and drinks were handed out half way through the session, allowing a little pause to recruit energy for more play!
Beehive, with new leaders identifiable by their yellow T-shirts, takes over from the long-running Jellybeans group, whose leaders are now working full time. Some children transferred to Beehive, while others are taking the next steps to nursery and school. Beehive weekly sessions will start in September, dates and times to be notified.
