As Spring approaches on 6th March we are plan to scatter wild flower seed in the patch of lawn we identified last year as a wild flower garden. We hope this will bring not only colour but attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. We will ensure the bird feeders are topped up, as this is a hungry time of year for them.
Our gardener has had to cut back several trees around the manse and behind the scout hut which were blocking the light to neighbours’ gardens. This was done before bird nesting season. We encourage everyone to make a donation to the Woodland Trust or a similar charity to help their tree planting programmes.
